"hellos" and "see you agains"

Many of the hometel residents left today.  They had to fly back to Korea for the next semester of college. I befriended some of them and one left this as a parting gift.  It was so thoughtful and no one really does this nowadays: he developed photos that he took himself while exploring los angeles.
He was perhaps the most optimistic person I have ever met in my life and most easily amusable.  When asked what was his least favorite food...he could not think of any.  When asked what his most favorite food...he listed everything.  He would be fascinated with anything and always complimented everything without fail.  "Mmmm so good!  Oh this is fantastic!  Wow, a waterfall!" in his British accent (lived in UK for four years when he was younger)
My cousin will be gone for one month in Virginia starting today :(
So many people just come and go.
Another one of the hometel friends who left today asked me if I lacked 정 because when he said he was leaving, I was so cool about it, "Okay! Have a safe trip!"  Of course I was sad to see them go because hometel was even more lively because of them and they were close to my age.  But at the same time, I guess I didn't want to get too attached :/  I don't know...I am feeling sad and lonely.
