Sandra - short form of the Greek name "Alexandra" ; meaning: defender of mankind
My mom told me I was named after Sandra Day O'Connor. On July 7, 1981, Sandra Day O'Connor was the first woman appointed on the Supreme Court. Exactly seven years later, I was born on July 7, 1988. (And exactly four years later, July 7, 1992, my sister was born!!!) AND...yes, it is not over yet, my father was baptized on July 7, 1985! I guess my name and July 7 is very meaningful :)
Honestly, I wasn't too fond of my name because it sounded so outdated and boring. But after researching about Sandra Day O'Connor, my name is pretty darn cool.
